I have been inspired to create art as long as I can remember.
I have used many mediums, textiles, wood, metals, and painting.
I discovered sculpting about eight years ago and have only glanced back a few times.
I love working with clay, the way it moves into amazing shapes with the slightest touch. How you can take a lump of clay and make an arm, a face or an entire human form. It is a very exciting experience.
I truly enjoy the anatomy of a living being, recognizing the bone structure, the muscles, and the subtlety of the eyelids, are they fully opened or partially closed, all of it.
I have increasingly centered on human figure and its relationship to animals.
I feel I am just getting started; I have a myriad of ideas waiting to be pursued.
